About foe

We're making foe for people who like having someone to beat.

Why foe?

Competition gives you a reason to do a little more. Maybe you were done for the day, then checked the score and decided to get another workout in. That's the idea behind foe.

The app pairs you with an opponent for the day. Your watch activity builds your score, you can message each other during the match, and the day ends with a result.

Your opponent

We want you to know who you're up against. A profile, their usual activity, what they've done today, and a chat where you can talk some trash or tell them they're crushing it.

Some days you'll get into it. Other days you'll check the score and carry on. It should fit into your day without needing your attention all the time.

Different ways to compete

Running, lifting, cycling, being on your feet all day. We want different kinds of activity to have a place in the same match.

Getting that comparison right is a big part of testing. The scoring system is still being developed, and we're testing how it handles different activities and watch data.

The first beta

We're starting with a small, invite-only iPhone beta for adults 18 and over. Apple Watch and Garmin are the initial watch targets.

The beta is still in development. There's no public app download yet.
